A method for processing the online charging is in the field of packet data charging. Said method includes that OCS provides the credit limit and monitored conditions to TPF and TPF asks OCS to re-authorize the user when it detects the credit limit is exhausted or the monitored conditions are satisfied. If the credit limit is based on the data flow, the monitored condition is time limit. If the credit limit is based on the time, the monitored condition is data flow limit. The present invention enables the OCS to obtain the remaindered monitored conditions when the credit limit transmitted to TPF is exhausted or the remaindered credit limit information when the monitored condition is satisfied by the interaction of TPF and OCS, thereby realizing the combined charging based on the data flow and the time. The present invention also enables OCS to monitor the state that the user uses the network resource in a fixed time. |
