A portable drilling, tapping, or valve seat grinding tool, comprises a tool spindle 1, Fig. 1, driven by an electric motor 3, whose shaft 2 is disposed at an angle of 60 to 90 degrees relative to spindle 1, and substantially parallel to a handle 14. Shaft 2 mounts an insulated sleeve 4, which carries a laminated rotor 5, and armature winding 6, and the shaft is supported by a bearing 7, overlapped by a ventilating blower 8 at one end, and at the other end of the shaft, sleeve 4 carries a commutator 9 cemented thereto, and a bush 10 is pressed into the shaft 2, and runs on a fixed pin 11, an oilimpregnated felt 13 being provided for lubricating. In a modification, bearing pin 21, Fig. 2, abuts a ball 22. In a further modification the bearing bush is replaced by a needle bearing. |
