The door assembly has an inner door skin (1), a door frame (2) that is connected to the inner skin as a separate component and that defines a window opening and a window lifter with a lever mechanism (4) for moving a window pane associated with the opening and arranged on the door assembly. At least one assembly (44,45) of the lever mechanism is arranged on each of the inner door skin and the door frame. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing an inventive door assembly.
