There are disclosed an information processing device, an information processing system, an information processing method, and a program capable of receiving a packet transmitted from a server device and preventing increase of traffic of a communication line such as the Internet. The information processing device includes a recurrent packet transmission unit for transmitting a recurrent packet, a function judgment unit for judging presence/absence of a port mapping setting function of a communication processing device in the vicinity, a port mapping setting unit for setting a port mapping for the communication processing device in the vicinity when the communication processing device in the vicinity is judged to have the port mapping setting function, and a transmission control unit for controlling the recurrent packet transmission unit so as to transmit the recurrent packet when the communication processing device in the vicinity is judged not to have the port mapping setting function.
