<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having excellent reflection efficiency while realizing a multiplex domain. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has a reflective area and a transmissive area, and includes a first panel and a second panel facing each other, a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first panel and the second panel, and a tilt direction determining member such as a protrusion, located in the reflective area, for determining a tilt direction of liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer equipped on the second panel. In this way, by utilizing an area with the protrusion located therein as the reflective area, the excellent reflection efficiency is obtained while realizing the multiplex domain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
