<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus capable of detecting a flash frame with a low delay. <P>SOLUTION: A flash frame detecting apparatus includes: a flash flag discrimination section 11 for discriminating whether or not a frame #1 is a flash frame; a luminance information arithmetic section 12 for calculating the correlation between frames #2 and #1 and a luminance difference sum between the frames; a frame correlativity discrimination section 13 for discriminating the correlativity between the frames #2 and #1; a luminance information comparison section 15 for discriminating whether or not an absolute value of a luminance difference simple sum of the frame #2 is increased by a prescribed amount when the frame #1 is the flash frame; a color difference information arithmetic section 16 for calculating a color difference differential absolute sum of the frames #2, #1 when the absolute value of the luminance difference simple sum of the frame #2 is increased by the prescribed amount; a color difference information comparison section 17 for discriminating whether or not the color difference differential absolute sum of the frames #2, #1 is within a prescribed range; and a scene discrimination section 18 for particularizing the frame #2 to be a flash scene and setting a flag when the color difference differential absolute sum of the frames #2, #1 is within the prescribed range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
