PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of transmitting image data to an external apparatus by wireless communication, and preventing disabled transmission or the occurrence of a transmission error due to the effect of the body of a user. SOLUTION: When the user depresses a transmission button 56, an eyepiece sensor 61 detects whether or not an obstacle such as the face of the user exists around an antenna arrangement area 59. When the eyepiece sensor 61 detects the obstacle, the digital camera inhibits a wireless transmission operation of the image data and raises a warning through a speaker opening 60.
