PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera for producing image data whereby a user views an imaged image almost in a natural state even when other display apparatus than a projection type display apparatus is in use. SOLUTION: When an operation section 45 sets a field angle for viewing, a focal distance control means changes a focal distance of a photographing lens 31 so that a photographing field angle of the digital camera 1 is equal to the field angle for viewing and changes the focal distance of the photographing lens 31 at object photographing so that the size of an object image displayed on the display apparatus is the same as the size of an actual object. Further, when there exists an image having already been photographed, a control section 24 acting like an image magnification means magnifies or reduces the photographed object image so as to obtain the image with the same photographing angle as the field angle for viewing and magnifies or reduces the photographed object image so that the size of the object image displayed on the display apparatus is equal to the size of the actual object.
