PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency evacuation information notification system for notifying the owner of each portable telephone set who is present in a disaster area of the location information of an evacuation place which is the nearest to a present spot. SOLUTION: This disaster prevention center 2 of an emergency evacuation information notification system 1 is provided with a transmitting part 13 for detecting the occurrence of a disaster, and for transmitting emergency information to an unspecified large number of portable telephone sets 3 which are present in the receivable range of radio waves, a receiving part 12 for receiving location information from the portable telephone sets 3, an evacuation place location information storing part 19 for storing the location information of evacuation places and an evacuation place selecting part 17 for comparing the location information received from the portable telephone set 3 with the location information of the evacuation places stored in the evacuation place location information storing part 19, and for selecting the evacuation place which is the nearest to the portable telephone set 3, and for transmitting it to the portable telephone set 3.
