摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein when an equivalent large-aperture antenna is formed by combining signals received by element antennae, distributed at mutually irregular intervals of more than half the wavelength towards the same direction within space, a grating lobe is generated due to the intervals, between the element antennae, that are longer than half the wavelength, so that the performance as the large-aperture antenna is lowered. SOLUTION: There are provided a covariance matrix computer 6 for determining the covariance matrix of the signals received by each elemental antenna 1 and a beam direction steering vector computer 7. A complex-number weight is computed (using a complex-number weight computer 8) which minimizes the output electric power with the confined directions from the covariance matrix and the beam steering vector. This complex-number weight is multiplied by each received signal (by a complex-number multiplier 4), to obtain the resultant summation (total summation 5), so that only the grating lobe is suppressed, by making use of a steering vector difference between a beam forming direction and a grating lobe direction.
