PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel-type speaker having superior excitation characteristics, irrespective of the type, such as electromagnetic, piezoelectric or flexural vibration. SOLUTION: In this panel-type speaker, an opening (Q) is formed on a diaphragm (P), and a plate-like diaphragm (R) for band correction for closing this opening is attached to the diaphragm (P). Also, an exciter (E) is fixed on the rear surface of the diaphragm (R) for band correction, a sub-panel fixed on the tip of the bobbin of the electromagnetic type exciter (E) is fixed in the opening (Q), or the case of the flexural vibration type exciter (E) is fixed inside the opening (Q).
