PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a metal coated gasket and the metal coated gasket having no need for preparing a mold for every inner diameter of a ring gasket and wasting no material for any size of inner diameter during grommet processing for coating the inner peripheral face and its vicinity of the sheet ring gasket with a thin metal material. SOLUTION: The metal coated gasket is formed by grommet processing the inner periphery of the sheet ring gasket with the thin metal material.
