PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive which is edible and highly safe, has sufficient adhesive strength, and can be suitably used, for example, when directly labeled on food products such as vegetables and fruits. SOLUTION: The adhesive comprises a solvent comprising sodium lactate and/or glycerol and at least a polysaccharide dissolved in the solvent.
