PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aminoacetonitrile derivative exhibiting controlling effect on vermin of agricultural and horticultural field and animal ectoparasites parasitic to domestic animal/pet, etc., a pest controlling agent and a method for the use of the agent. SOLUTION: The invention provides an aminoacetonitrile derivative expressed by general formula (I) and a pest controlling agent containing the derivative as an active component. In the formula, Q is a 1-6C alkyl, a 1-6C haloalkyl, phenyl, a substituted phenyl or the like; R<SP>1</SP>is a hydrogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl or the like; R<SP>2</SP>is hydrogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl or the like; R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>are each a hydrogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl or the like; R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>may together form a 2-6C alkylene; R<SP>5</SP>is a 1-6C alkyl, a 1-6C haloalkyl, a phenyl(1-6C)alkenyl, a substituted phenyl(1-6C)alkenyl, a phenoxy(1-6C)alkyl, a substituted phenoxy(1-6C)alkyl or the like; and W is an oxygen atom, NR<SP>6</SP>or the like.
