PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling an output of a welding power source such that an output voltage E becomes approximately equal to a voltage control setting value Ecr by calculating a current differential value Bi by multiplying a differential value of an output current (i) by an amplification factor, and then by calculating the voltage control setting value Ecr by subtracting the current differential value Bi from a preset output voltage setting value Er, in which method, an optimum inductance value less than a fixed inductance value Li due to a reactor WL can be electronically formed. SOLUTION: In the method for controlling the output of the welding power source, when a current change change-over signal Si is in a high level, the voltage control setting value Ecr is calculated by subtracting the current differential value Bi from the output voltage setting value Er, and when the current change change-over signal Si is in a low level, the voltage control setting value Ecr is calculated by adding the current differential value Bi to the output voltage setting value Er.
