PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for cryopreserving cells designed to freeze the cells over a long period without using serum and components derived from the serum. SOLUTION: The composition for cryopreserving the cells comprises sericin and one or more kinds of components selected from the group consisting of amino acids and sugars.
