The invention relates to a guide device for a height-adjustable head support (2), in particular for use on a motor vehicle seat.Said device comprises two retaining bars (6, 8) which can be guided in an axially displaceable manner in the longitudinal guides (10, 12). The retaining bars (6, 8) are connected or can be connected to a head support part (4) by means of the first, upper ends thereof (6a, 8a). Said device also comprises a stop device (14) which is used to fix at least one of the retaining bars (6, 8) in various head support height positions, in addition to a retractable mechanism (16) which is used to automatically retract the retaining bars (6, 8) in a completely lowered head support position. The retraction mechanism (16) comprises a drive wheel (18) which acts directly against only one (6) of the two retaining bars (6, 8) in a positive or non-positive fit. |
