IC TAG READER LOCATING APPARATUS AND IC TAG READER LOCATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC tag reader locating apparatus and an IC tag reader locating method for locating a position on the basis of a plurality of IC tags in which the position of the moving reader and information (such as commodities information and location information) read from IC tags can be displayed easily and with high precision by placing a plurality of IC tags in which position information or the like is written in a space.

SOLUTION: The IC tag reader locating apparatus comprises: a plurality of IC tags in which position information is written and which are placed in predetermined positions in a space; a reader for reading information from the IC tags; a means which variably transmits signal intensity by the reader and calculates a distance to the IC tag from signal intensity when the information can be read from the IC tag or when the information is made impossible to be read; and a means for calculating the position of the reader on the basis of the calculated distance to the plurality of IC tags and the position information read from the plurality of IC tags.
