<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate (IP<SB>3</SB>), capable of still more easily measuring concentration of the IP<SB>3</SB>in a living cell. <P>SOLUTION: A fusion protein is structured so that both terminals of a protein having an amino acid sequence of the 226 position to the 575 position of an inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate receptor (IP<SB>3</SB>R) are fused with a fluorescent protein comprising an energy donor capable of being used for a fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) procedure and a fluorescent protein comprising an energy acceptor, respectively. The fusion protein is used for detecting the IP<SB>3</SB>concentration in a cell-free system and in the cell by the FRET procedure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
