PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To know a battery status of a communication apparatus such as a mobile phone in an imaging apparatus such as an electronic camera. SOLUTION: In the imaging system comprised of at least one imaging apparatus (100) and at least one battery-driven communication apparatus (300), the communication apparatus includes a communication unit and an antenna (330, 332) for transmitting a battery status of the communication apparatus to the imaging apparatus, and the imaging apparatus includes: an imaging device (14); an antenna and a communication unit (112, 110) for receiving the notified battery status; a system control circuit (50) for determining the received battery status of the communication apparatus; and display means (28, 54) for displaying the battery status of the communication apparatus in accordance with the determination result.
