PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adhere and fix permanent magnets to yokes in a non-magnetized state in a magnetic field of a linear motor. SOLUTION: The linear motor comprises a magnetic field wherein a plurality of the permanent magnets are arranged in two rows, and armature windings that are arranged between the permanent magnets with air gaps between. The magnetic field is divided by magnetic field units 201, 202. The first magnetic field unit 201 comprises the first yokes 251 to which the first permanent magnets 211 are arranged, and first notches 241 formed between the first yokes 251. The second magnetic field unit 202 comprises the second yokes 252 to which the second permanent 212 magnets are arranged, and second notches 242 formed between the second yokes 252. The first yokes 251 are connected to the second notches 242 so that the second yokes 252 are positioned at the first notches 241, orientations of magnetization of the first permanent magnets 211 are aligned in the same direction, and orientations of magnetization of the second permanent magnets 212 are aligned in a direction opposite to the same direction.
