PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm capable of effectively contributing to the improvement of the sensitivity of a capacitor microphone, a condenser microphone unit using the diaphragm, and a diaphragm forming method. SOLUTION: A diaphragm ring 15 has a ring shaped flat face 17 left at the side of an inner diametrical edge 16a of one side face 16 of the ring 15, and a step difference part 18 formed by recessing the face area of the other one side 16, the diaphragm 12 is formed by adhering a diaphragm 13 to the step difference part 18 by adhesive 26 in the step difference part 18, and a rear pole plate 24 is arranged opposite to the one side face 16 of the diaphragm ring 15 at a gap "t" by an interposed spacer 22. Thus, the reduction in the sensitivity caused by stray capacitance and the reduction in the sensitivity due to a displacement of the diaphragm are suppressed and also the occurrence of variations in the frequency response at high frequencies and in inherent noise is avoided to contribute to the improvement of the sensitivity of the capacitor microphone.
