PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To coordinate the operation of an exhaust emission control device reducing and cleaning NOx in exhaust gas by using liquid reduction agent in an idling stop device for a vehicle automatically stopping an engine when a predetermined condition is established during tentative stop. SOLUTION: In the idling stop device for the vehicle provided with the exhaust emission control device intermittently injecting and supplying liquid reduction agent corresponding to an engine operation condition in a exhaust gas upstream of a NOx reduction catalyst 20 provided in the exhaust pipe 14 of the engine 10, reducing and cleaning NOx in exhaust gas by catalyst reduction reaction using liquid reduction agent by the NOx reduction catalyst 20, the engine 10 is automatically stopped by shutting off fuel supply by a fuel injection device 54 after suction air is shut off by a suction air shutter 56 when the vehicle is under a condition where there is no problem if the engine 10 is automatically stopped, and is tentatively stopped, and injection of liquid reduction agent is continuously stopped for a predetermined period of time.
