PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article conveyance device capable of accurately avoiding a collision of a traveling body to the end of a track. SOLUTION: The traveling body 10 for conveying an article is provided to travel on the ended track. The device comprises a braking means for braking the traveling body accompanied by the stop of electric power supply to the traveling body 10, a ground-side position detecting means 25 installed on the ground for detecting a traveling position of the traveling body on the track, a ground-traveling speed detecting means 25 installed on the ground for detecting a traveling speed of the traveling body, and an electric power stopping means 33 for stopping the power supply to the traveling body. The electric power stopping means 33 is designed to stop the power supply to the traveling body 10 based on the detected information of the ground-side position detecting means and the detected information of the ground-traveling speed detecting means when the traveling position of the traveling body traveling toward the end of the track is a position for monitoring an abnormality while the traveling speed of the traveling body is in a traveling speed abnormal state in which a speed is higher than a permissible traveling speed.
