PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier tape with a uniform thickness distribution of the tape and an improvement in strength of the bottom face even when a recessed part for storing a component is deep drawn. SOLUTION: In the carrier tape of the present invention, the whole or at least a part of the recessed part for storing the component in which the component is stored is formed so as to be recessed in a curved face. As the thickness distribution becomes uniform, and the strength of the bottom face is increased, such a protective effect that there exists no possibility of breaking a lead, a micro-projection or the like provided on an electronic component such as a connector and a jack stored, and no possibility of jumping out of the stored component out of the carrier tape caused by breakage of the bottom face, can be obtained to make it possible to surely store, transport and maintain the component. In addition, as the boundary between the curved face and the plane face constituting the recessed part for storing the component is continuously made into a curved face, a furthermore high protective effect is obtained, and it becomes possible to furthermore surely store, transport and maintain the component.
