摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform prior work for automatically determining the life of a cutting tool in changing or adding a machine tool. SOLUTION: No-load operation power data in idling of an existing machine tool 12-1 and load operation power data in cutting a work using the cutting tool are stored from a diagnosing device 14-1 through a LAN circuit 16 to a computer 18. In the computer 18, the no-load operation power data is subtracted from the load operation power to obtain residual data, and a predetermined value is added and subtracted to and from the residual data to obtain an upper limit value and a lower limit value corresponding to the upper limit and the lower limit of the load operation power allowing the cutting tool to cut a work in the state where the life is not at an end or the tool is unbroken. The no-load operation power of an additional machine tool 12-n is added to the above values to obtain an upper limit determination value and a lower limit determination value, and the obtained values are stored as warning set values in a diagnosing device 14-n for an additional part. When the load operation power reaches values other than the warning set values during the load operation in the additional machine tool 12-n, abnormality of the cutting tool is decided.
