PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-carry type pruning machine enabling easy adjustment of a pruning height with good workability through using for instance an existing blade cover as it is without the need of big processing for a main body. SOLUTION: This hand-carry type pruning machine 1 has a blade 3 on the bottom of the main body 2, and performs necessary pruning work through changing rotation of a motor built into the main body 2 to horizontal swing motion of the blade 3 with an eccentric cam. The blade cover (a seat plate) 25 for adjusting a pruning height made by projecting a rail-like projection 26 on one side surface is set separating from the main body 2 and the blade cover 25 can be attached to the bottom of the main body 2 through reversing the front and back.
