[Also in Division A5] A harness 10 which may be incorporated in a suit, for simulating the pressures of gravity on the bony and muscular framework of the body includes stretchable members 30 and 64 which extend between a pelvic harness 20, 22 and a shoulder pad 36 and foot stirrups 62 respectively. The members 30 and 64 may be of any elasticized material or may be metal springs. Four pairs of straps secure the members 64 to the pelvic belt 20 and are themselves secured to straps 66 for locating the members 64 relative to the wearer's legs. Shoulder straps 40 are connected at 42 to the pelvic belt 20 and at 44 to each other. The members 30 and the stirrups 62 are adjustable in length.</p> |
