A PET bottle (1) on a label (11) of which a merchandise name (14) etc. is printed and which is displayed and sold on a display shelf (2) where a rail (21) is laid on a shelf upper surface (20) has in its bottom section a groove (18) having a shape that keeps the PET bottle in a stable attitude when it is placed on the rail (21) to cause the merchandise name (14) to face front. The PET bottle (1) can be displayed on the display shelf (2) such that the merchandise name (14) faces front.
