The invention concerns agglomerated zeolite adsorbents based on faujasite with Si/Al ratio such that 1 <= Si/Al <= 1.15 exchanged at least at 70 % in barium and optionally with potassium and a binder, preferably capable of zeolitization. Said adsorbents are obtained by agglomerating zeolite powder with a binder followed by the zeolite ion exchange by barium ions and activating the resulting exchanged adsorbents. Said adsorbents are particularly adapted for adsorbing paraxylene contained in aromatic C 8 hydrocarbon cuts in liquid phase in simulated fluid bed processes. |
