<p>To improve welds implemented by a friction welding tool for a strapping apparatus, where said tool comprises a drive of which the output is convertible by means of a compliant mechanism into an oscillating motion of a welding shoe, the present invention proposes an approximately polygonal drive element (20) configured as seen in the direction of transmission of the drive motion, between the drive and the welding shoe (9), said element being fitted with a peripheral surface (24) that, in relation to an axis of rotation (18a) comprises at least three zones (30a, 30b, 30c) which from their periphery are more distant from the axis of rotation (18 than are other zones (31a, 31b, 31c) of said peripheral surface (24).</p> |
