PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an identification device which makes it extremely hard for a third party to impersonate a user and makes it unnecessary for the user to memorize a password. SOLUTION: Digital image data obtained by a camera 10 of a portable communication terminal 1 is preliminarily stored in a storage means 23 of the authentication device 2 and the digital image data which is the same as the stored one is transmitted from the portable communication terminal 1 in place of the password consisting of character strings in identification.
