PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resonator and a filter which obtain an arbitrary bandwidth. SOLUTION: In the resonator in which bamboo blind shape electrodes are arranged on a surface of a piezoelectric/electrostriction material substrate with a large electric mechanical coupling coefficient, or on a piezoelectric thin film substrate, or in the resonator which has a structure arranging reflectors on the both sides, the resonance-antiresonance frequency band is made narrow by changing the interchange width of the electrodes to a propagation direction, reducing the excitation efficiency, and making a number of whole electrode pairs large.
