PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and highly efficient hermetic compressor that uses carbon dioxide as a refrigerant, by utilizing a compressing mechanism part for existing refrigerants R22 and R410A. SOLUTION: Motor output is secured by making the motor fixing part of a hermetic vessel cylinder part (compressing mechanism part fixing position) 3b larger than the compressing mechanism part fixing part of the hermetic vessel cylinder part (stator fixing position) 3a. This enables the use of the compressing mechanism part 1 and a motor part 2 which are used by the existing refrigerants, thereby providing the highly efficient hermetic compressor inexpensively.
