PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface cleaning method where blackening in the surface of a continuously cast-rolled stock can efficiently be removed, to provide a surface cleaning device, to provide a cleaned continuously cast-rolled stock, and to provide a metal worked material subjected to secondary working. SOLUTION: A continuously cast-rolled stock S2 subjected to rolling successively to casting is subjected to multistage cleaning including acid cleaning 21, 23 or caustic cleaning 22.
