PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record picked-up images in such a state that whether or not the images are already image-processed can be surely discriminated at the time of recording them in an electronic endoscope apparatus. SOLUTION: By recording image selection means (15a, 13, 19 and 26), either one of a source image to which an image processing by image processing means (21 and 20) is not executed and a processed image to which the image processing is executed is selected as the image to be recorded by image recording means (27, 28 and 29). An image kind information generation means (19) generates image kind information indicating whether the image selected by the recording image selection means to be recorded is the source image or the processed image. The image recording means record the image selected by the recording image selection means in relation with the image kind information in response to an operation by an operator in operation means (15b, 13 and 19).
