PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-wash, inexpensive and elaborately-designed cleaning tool composed of a fiber bundle having excellent cleanability and peculiar texture that flat ultrafine fibers have. SOLUTION: The cleaning tool formed of the fiber bundle is constituted so that 50 wt.% or more of the fibers constituting the cleaning tool to be in contact with an object to be cleaned is composed of synthetic fibers having the surface area≥5,000 cm<SP>2</SP>per 1 g and having at least one kind of a cross sectional shape selected from a polygonal shape or a shape similar to it, a flat shape whose ellipticity is≥1.5 and a shape for which flat parts whose ellipticity is≥1.5 are combined, and the synthetic fibers are composed of a lipophilic polymer and a hydrophilic polymer.
