PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support system capable of effectively supporting design operation concerned with a change in design on the basis of stored design change examples. SOLUTION: The design support system is provided with a database 3 in which examples of design changes can be registered, a retrieval index input means 5 for inputting a retrieval index for retrieving design change examples from the database 3 and a design change example presentation means for retrieving design change examples from the database 3 based on the inputted retrieval index and presenting the retrieved results to a designer.
