PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exclude an influence of external light entering through a calendar display window to enable constant, stable operation in a timepiece with a calendar display function which detects display condition in the calendar display window by an optical sensor. SOLUTION: A date display window 204 for displaying a date is provided with a light shielding member 210 to shield at least part of the external light entering the back of a dial 202 through the date display window 204, preventing photoreflectors 105 to 108 positioned on the back of the dial 202 from being affected by the external light.
