<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic document feeder capable of restraining falling of a document even if opening-closing operation is performed, and a reading unit and an image forming device having this automatic document feeder. <P>SOLUTION: A height dimension of one guide wall 80a near a rotary shaft 14 positioned on the lower side when opening an ADF 5, is set larger than the other guide wall 80b.
