PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of preventing overcorrection resulting from the influence of a smear, correcting a streak and a smear completely when the imaging apparatus is stationary, and making its image quality higher than a conventional one by making streak correction have a threshold by parameters such as temperature, sensitivity, and motion vector. SOLUTION: This imaging apparatus comprises an imaging means for acquiring a picture signal from an imaging device; a first OB value calculation means for calculating an OB value for each vertical line from an upper OB region or a lower OB region of the imaging device; a second OB value calculation means for calculating an OB value for each vertical line not comprising a streak component, a streak detection means for detecting a streak component for each vertical line; a streak limit means which outputs, as a streak value, a streak threshold set beforehand when the value of the streak component detected by the streak detection means is larger than the streak threshold, and outputs as a streak value, the original streak component when the value is smaller; and a subtraction means for subtracting, from the picture signal, OB values and a streak value obtained from the first OB value calculation means and the second OB value calculation means and the streak limit means.
