SURGICAL APPARATUS FOR APPLYING A PLURALITY OF SURGICAL FASTENERS TO BODY TISSUE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical apparatus for applying a plurality of surgical fasteners to body tissue.

SOLUTION: This surgical apparatus is equipped with an elongated body in which an actuator is placed and which is equipped with a housing to support a plurality of surgical fasteners. The housing is placed on the distal end part of the elongated body. The surgical apparatus is equipped with an anvil placed on the distal end part of the elongated body to be movable between an open position and a close position to the housing, an operation assembly to move parallel with both the housing and the anvil and to move the anvil from an open position to a close position to discharge the surgical fasteners from the housing and form the surgical fasteners against the anvil, and an axial direction drive screw formed by combining to the operation assembly body with the screw for parallel movement of the operation assembly. The proximal end of the axial direction drive screw is detachably attached to the distal end of the actuator.
