<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of automatically carrying out zoom adjustment so that a projected image is in matching with a region to be projected on a body to be projected (e.g., screen). <P>SOLUTION: Positions of four corners of the region to be projected and positions of four corners of the projection image on an image imaged by a camera are detected, and the positions of the four corners of the region to be projected with respect to the positions of the four corners of the projection image are converted into positions on a panel coordinate system set onto a spatial optical modulation device (panel). A minimum first target frame TF1 is set on the panel coordinate system in a state of including the four corners of the region to be projected converted into the positions on the panel coordinate system, and a second target frame TF2 is set on the panel coordinate system by taking into account an aspect ratio of the projection image or the like on the basis of the positions of the first target frame TF1 on the panel coordinate system. A ratio of the size of the second target frame TF2 to the size of the whole panel coordinate system is obtained as a zoom ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
