PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a semiconductor apparatus capable of making a chip direction quite obvious, without changing the arrangement and the shapes of posts, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A metal layer 30 has a notched part 50, only at an arbitrary point on a side in each side face of the circumference of the chip that is cut by dicing, and parts other than the notched part remain band-like. This allows the notched part 50, where the metal layer 30 is not exposed, to function as a mark representing the chip direction.
