PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gluing agent capable of pasting by a simple work and securing uniform adhesive force in pasting a lace fabric on the frame of shoji. SOLUTION: The gluing agent for pasting the lace fabric 2 on the frame of the shoji is provided with that it is a synthetic rubber-based adhesive obtained by dissolving a synthetic rubber in a volatile organic solvent and usually kept as a liquid form. The viscosity under preservation at 23°C is 200-1,000 mPa s, and on evaporating the organic solvent, it solidifies at≤80°C and becomes a molten state by heating it at≥90°C. The gluing agent is applied with a brush 3 on the frame 1 of the shoji and dried, and then by overlapping the lace fabric 2, the gluing agent is heated for melting by a heating means 4 such as an iron to adhere to the fabric.
