PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a safety apparatus not to unintentionally come off a master rope by facilitating attachment/detachment to/from the master rope. SOLUTION: A master rope holder 1 having a groove 7 to store the master rope W in a vertical direction includes a pressure member 5 for connecting a safety rope R, so as to be freely rockable, and is brought into pressure contact with the master rope W. The rocking shaft 3 is fixed to the master rope holder 1 of a crash prevention safety apparatus 20 by allowing one end of the rocking shaft 3 to be freely rotatable with respect to the master rope holder and allowing the other end to be locked or separated via a lock shaft 21 to be moved forward/backward. The holder 1 includes a lock member 27 to be moved forward/backward with respect to the lock shaft 21. The lock member 27 is lockable at different positions in the axial direction of the circumferential surface of the lock shaft 21, so as to keep a fixing state between the rock shaft 21 and the rocking shaft 3 at one lock position and to keep a rotatable state in the rocking shaft 3 by the lock shaft 21. Then the lock shaft is fixed at a plurality of positions for forward/backward movement, so as to facilitate an attachment/detachment work to/from the master rope. When the lock member 27 is made to be a plate-like piece, an outward projecting part is eliminated, so that the lock shaft 21 is prevented from being carelessly released. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
