PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having wing part-forming materials sufficiently firmly fixed to a body and having superior longitudinal deformation and liquid seepage prevention properties. SOLUTION: This absorbent article comprises a body part 10 having an absorbent body 4, a pair of side sheets 5 covering the upper surfaces of the sides the absorbent body 4, and a back face sheet 3 covering the lower surface of the absorbent body 4, and the wing part forming materials 21 fixed to both sides of the body 10 and forming wing parts 20. Each wing part forming material 21 is joined with the side sheet 5 and the back face sheet 3 at intermittent joining parts 31 intermittently formed in the longitudinal direction of the body 10 and joined with the side sheet 5 and/or the back face sheet 3 at a continuous joining part 32 continuously formed in the longitudinal direction of the body 10 and positioned on the side of the absorbent body 4 of the intermittent joining parts 31.
