<p>The drive (10) for a tensioning device has several chambers (11-13) in which is located at least one component of variable dimensions. At least one of the chambers has a fixed wall (15,18) and a movable wall (16,17), and the component of variable dimensions is pressed against each of the two sides of the movable wall, the movement of which is transmitted to an element to be driven.
