<p>The present invention relates to a dry battery and provides a negative electrode of the dry battery. The negative electrode of the dry battery is comprised of 0.0005 to 0.010wt.% magnesium, 0.001 to 0.005wt.% indium or 0.0005 to 0.005wt.% tin, 0 to 0.004wt.% lead, 0 to 0.0005wt.% cadmium, and the balance of zinc. The present invention also discloses the manufacture method of said dry battery. The present invention also discloses a zinc-manganese dry battery, which contains the negative electrode of the present invention. A pulp paper is provided on the inner surface of the negative electrode, a PVC coat and a iron case are coated on the outer surface of the negative electrode. A positive electrode pole and a carbon rod are packaged by the pulp paper. A paper washer is provided on the positive electrode pole. An underlying cap and a underlying paper washer are provided on the bottom of the battery. A rubber plug, a top cap and a rubber washer are provided on the top of the battery. Both lead and cadmium have been added to the negative electrode zinc plate for a manganese dry battery during the manufacture method in the prior art, while indium and tin are added instead of lead and cadmium to the zinc negative electrode according to the present invention during the manufacture process. Compared to the prior art, the advantages of the zinc-manganese dry battery according to the present invention are free of lead and cadmium, and need not add lead and cadmium during the manufacture method. So it poses no pollution to the environment and meets for the demand of environmental protection.</p> |
