PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to improve stiffness and insulation characteristic of a barrier while expanding available space of refrigerating and freezing compartments due to the thin barrier. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a freezing compartment(1) and a refrigerating compartment(3) which are divided by a barrier(70); a refrigerating compartment guide passage for guiding the cooling air produced from an evaporator(44) toward the refrigerating compartment; a door duct(90) mounted within a refrigerating compartment door(92) and which supplies cooling air to the refrigerating compartment; and a duct assembly(60) mounted beneath the barrier. The duct assembly includes a refrigerating compartment supply unit(82) for supplying the refrigerating compartment and the door duct with the cooling air supplied from the refrigerating compartment guide passage; a shunt duct(80) for supplying the door duct with the cooling air supplied from a refrigerating compartment cooling air passage(40); and a refrigerating compartment return duct(62) for returning of the cooling air circulated through the refrigerating compartment. |
